I am watching this wondering why John Francis Daley looks so damn young then later found out its because this film was shot 15-20 years before it was released. Before he was in Bones for the most part.
Anyway, its an interesting autobiographical film about a kind of nobody level movie maker, which kind of gives it some weird endearing charm.
There is a line from one of the characters talking about old serial mini films, and how yeah, they look like crap, but you can tell everyone had a lot of fun making them. That feels really self reflecting here.
